At Trinity, there are some ministries specific to the Family; those ministries are listed here. We do have others, which will be highlighted, but they will link to the main Trinity Church, Tariffville website. Sunday School is offered every Sunday during the 9:45 am service for children and youth from preschool through High School. Our team of volunteer teachers are dynamic and caring and offer the best in Christian Education to their young students. Students develop strong bonds with each other as they grow in their faith and they are always welcome to bring a friend!
Youth Group is for students from sixth to twelfth grade and meets Sunday evenings from 5-6 pm. On the third Sunday of the month we go on Youth Group mini trips for group bonding, volunteering, or just having a good time! Our group is small but very close and we work hard to be respectful and honest during all our conversations.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matt.28:19-20
COLLEGE AGE YOUNG ADULT
College Age Young Adult or CAYA is our group devoted to students who have left high school and are working through what it means to be an adult and a Christian today. Caya meets once a month at Manda's home. Who ever is available is welcome to join us for conversations, support, scripture reading, and discussion. There is no agenda to these gatherings it is a safe place to come and find rest and peace among friends.
Music on Sunday is provided by either the traditional St. Gregory Choir, the Contemporary Worship Team, or by soloists from our community. Additionally, Trinity hosts two special services, Lessons and Carols before Christmas, and Evensong before Easter. We also work with a group, called the Tapestry Singers, who help fund raise for Kateri Medical Clinic in Nigeria, Africa. If you are interested in joining any of these choirs or events, please contact our Minister of Music, Paula Kern, below.
Are you more of a behind the scenes type of person? We have a ministry for you as well! There are so many people that work together to make a service flow. From the Parking lot attendants during special services, to the greeters who meet you at the door, to the Altar Guild who washes every cup and cloth after the service. If you want to help with any part of the service this is a good place to begin.
REACHING AND SERVING MINISTRIES
Don't have time on Sunday Morning to help? We still have options for you! What about reaching out to college kids who are away with the KIT Ministry? What about helping to run a service at Meadowbrook on Sunday afternoon? Or giving a member a ride to church who is no longer driving? Or joining a meal train for a someone who is struggling at the moment with the Helping Hands Ministry? Or making lunches and serving them at Lunch in the Park in Hartford? Our Reaching and Serving ministries might be for you.
